Seriously, what has life been like for you during the stay at home order?

One day you are embracing the situation with zeal and faith enjoying the change and the next day you are wondering if you can make it another day as you curl up in the corner in your pajamas.

In light of Easter Sunday’s Sermon, we want to consider over the next few weeks how we can fuel our sense of awe and wonder of the resurrection and how that can impact life under a stay at home order. We will be asking individuals in different stages and places in life what quarantine life has been like for them – the good, the bad and the ugly.  Our hope is that you will see you are not alone and that you will be helped and encouraged as people share their successes and failures.

I am deeply encouraged by how you are caring for one another in this time of increased isolation.  While I am thankful for the ability to worship online and connect via virtual meetings, I never want them to become the new norm.  These stop-gap measures are a bridge until we can be face to face with one another.

My prayer for us as followers of Jesus is that we will grow in our connection to the Lord and to one another in the midst of this pandemic.  May we claim, embrace, and experience the promise that He is with us and will never leave us, our mighty fortress, our ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46 & 121, Romans 8). O Lord, keep us connected, generous, and hopeful as we live in awe and wonder of the resurrection day by day and minute by minute.
