MISSIONS TEAM MISSION STATEMENT
Believing that:
- God has reconciled us to Himself through Christ and given us the ministry of reconciliation, calling each of us to be an ambassador for Christ (II Cor. 5:18-21),
- the Good News of God’s grace, mercy and salvation through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, is to be preached, taught and demonstrated to all nations, following Christ’s example and teaching (Matt. 9:35-38; 25:31-46; 28:19-20; Acts 1:8), and
- God has equipped us with gifts for the building up of His body, the Church, in order that we become more like Christ (Eph. 4:11-16), and that His purpose now is that His manifold wisdom should be made known through the Church (Eph. 3:8-11),
The RPC Missions Team seeks to develop a local church that:
- is aware of its mission in the world today and knowledgeable about means and opportunities to fulfill that mission, both in our local communities and throughout the world, relying on God’s Holy Spirit for power, direction and resources,
- actively prays for the Church throughout the world,
- supports generously and sacrificially the work of those called to devote themselves to this ministry in North America and throughout the world, and
- recruits and encourages its own members to be involved in missions, whether short-term, part-time or full-time.
