Worship
What is worship like at Redeemer Presbyterian Church? Well, that can be a tough queston to answer in a paragraph. It can even be hard to describe from coming just one Sunday. We encourage folks to take a month or so to get a feel for us as a church and for our worship. Every week, we gather as a family to worship God. You'll feel that every time you come, but we may sing mostly traditional hymns one week, or have a week with a lot of contemporary praise choruses. We also sing old hymns with rewritten music. You may not love every song we sing here, but we take great care to plan our worship services so that every song pulls Scripture together to help us understand more fully the Gospel and the passage that is being preached.
Here's a summary statement about our worship:
The worship of God is central to our life together at Redeemer. We worship God with joy and gratitude for what He has done and with reverence and awe for who He is. We believe that heart-felt worship is the natural response to understanding personally the holiness and mercy of God. When we gather for worship, it is first and foremost about honoring God. We use hymns and creeds that connect us to the historical roots of Christianity, and we use current language and styles to make worship understandable to people living in North Raleigh today.
