Christmas/Advent Readings - This article contains a series of daily Scripture readings tracing the storyline of the promised Messiah through the Old Testament into the New Testament ending with the birth of Jesus. They were compiled by Jerram Barrs a former professor of mine at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. I used to be a "bah, humbug" Christmas kind of guy and in some ways I still am, but reflecting on these Scriptures over the last several years has helped me focus on the wonder of the incarnation during the Christmas season. If you and your family haven't ever done readings like this together or individually, I commend them to you highly.
